I was at Convento dos Loios for a day, and it was a great experience: we can see that everyone was eager to help the client to have a warm, stress-free stay.

I'll place this review in English so i can help more tourists like me regarding this Church. From the start: The price of the ticket to this private proprety is amazing! It's €7 to visit the private Church and some parts of the Cadaval Palace. Nothing to compare with the fair prices of other public monuments in Évora. The Church... More

My guidebook was incorrect about this attraction - it indicated you visit the church and palace separately. However, there is only one ticket for 7 Euro to visit both. I think that price is a bit excessive considering the other churches in town which are a bit more interesting. The church is small but very beautiful with the lovely tiles... More

My wife and I had breakfast after spending the night at the Pousada. We dined on scrambled eggs and bacon, a large selection of fruit and bread/pastries, coffee, tea and juice. A great way to start the day.

We were made very welcome as our aim was to make a booking for dinner. The restaurant was on the ground floor enabling us to look around, and admire the exquisite furnishings and paintings, with very pleasant staff helpfully telling us we could have a cool glass of water. Yes we returned for dinner and that was excellent. As I... More

We loved the Igreja Convento Dos Loios - once inside the whole church is decorated in blue and white tiles, quite breathtaking. The palace is also well worth a visit (the same ticket gets you into both) and is very nicely laid out. The Convento Dos Loios is a boutique hotel now - we had an excellent lunch there, wonderful... You have to pay for a fee to enter this convento, but this worth it. It was decorated by a collection of beautiful azulejos depicting the graceful life of the monk owner.

At the very top of the town, the Convento Dos Loios offers open views to the whole Evora and then plenty of charm, beauty and almost a magic appeal to the centuries past. The old convent was a gem, one of those rarer, rich monasteries with vast spaces, palatial stairs, corridors, high arches, long corridors, hidden niches inside and outdoor... More

What a charming historic property!! I fell in love with this town and the overall charm of our accommodations. This property has been preserved but updated to afford the most comfort a traveler needs. The former monk's cells are now the guest rooms. They are small but cozy. Not a lot of storage but every inch has been utilized to... More

If you're in the suite you cannot go wrong. Chandeliers, handpainted frescos from the 18th century, completely excessive in an 18th century way. We loved it!!
