Rude as hell
Dec 2020
Very rude employee walk up to us and ask what kind of service dog is that your walking and I said her here is her card that state she is a support service dog she said get her back to your car now. Well she steps way out of line and I am report her tomorrow and never ever stepping foot on there property again . Dont bother going to an orchard that hates animals so much.

Ripping off their customers.
Sep 2020 • Couples
I have been going here to pick empire apples for several years. I gladly paid the per pound plus price. I would leave with 2 reusable tj Maxx shopping bags ( the huge kind that you pre purchase at the store for 99 cents) with sometimes as much as 60 plus pounds of apples at roughly a cost of 80 something dollars. Due to covid they are selling by their own bags..no weighing the bag. The large bag was 26 dollars and fit 35 apples roughly. We had to purchase three of them . I can tell you when we returned we combined all the apples into one large tj. Maxx bag with room to spare. 78.00 for half the amount of apples. We all are hurting with Covid..but there is a difference between taking advantage of your customers being fair. The large bag is so small it's ridiculous. If I was paying 1.79 a pound last year...actually I think it was more like 1.59 a pound then this year I is running us close to 3.00 a pound.I used to live this place. Take a picture of my face ..you won't be seeing it again.

After 10 years of going we won't be back
Sep 2020
My children and I have been going to this farm since their were 3 years old. This year was the worst. This used to be a great family experience. just a family place to spend the day with you children. NOW it just a Bust. use to be able to get a bag or some bags, and pick as many apples as you wanted, and pay at the end by the pound. This year each person had to purchase a bag. $13 for what they called a medium bag and $26 what they called a large bag. when I tell you in the medium bags you can only fit about 7 apples in each bag, VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED Because I spend so much money for the bags I refused to go over to the store area a buy anything else, you had to pay for that area as well. JUST SO SAD THAT ONE OF OUR FAVORITE PLACES TO GO, HAS GONE CRAZY. WE WON'T BE BACK

not exactly what we go for in a farm
Sep 2020
This review is based on us going there and deciding not to go in. So it does not fully reflect their offerings. Different from most other pick your own orchards you have to pay by the bag to enter. We like to look at what is there to first decide what to pick. The prices in the store were twice what we see in other stores and offerings. This is just a first impression.

Terhune produce is always fresh, always good. I buy year round and am never disappointed. Every season they have a nice variety of produce to choose from.

Holiday at the farm
Dec 2019 • Family
Great place for family with little ones. Kids were amused by the farm animals, farm tractors and the farm stands. The infamous dogs and cats are very popular as well. The Apple donuts and apple pies are must have.

DELICIOUS!
Dec 2019 • Friends
Each time I visit Terhune’s there is always something new and different that just adds to the already terrific atmosphere of the location. The winery was new to me, so we enjoyed tasting different wines that they make from grapes, apples, and other fruit grown on their own property. Also, while sampling the different wines they had live music which was a lot of fun.
I highly recommend a visit to Terhune’s and don’t forget to leave with delicious cider donuts!

Great way to spend an afternoon
Aug 2019
It doesn;t matter the time of year as this place adjusts activities and items for sale by the seasons. Their fruits and veggies are top-notch plus they have periodic live music, wine and other things to do. Activites for the entire family.

A Family Tradition
Oct 2019 • Family
We have visited Terhune Orchid’s for 9 years now since Aniya was 2. My paternal grandparents had the opportunity to join us during one of their visits to the states from Cuba. No matter how many other farms we go to, our hearts always brings us back here. Every year there’s a change to attract families but the classic favorites, decor and set up flood our mind & hearts with memories.
🍎🍭 The classic M&M caramel candy apple that Aniya since the age of 2 spends an entire week eating always reminds me to tell her the story of how it managed to fall out of little hands and how upset she got seeing her dear Apple on the floor . 🥓🍎 One year not to long ago we even tried a caramel bacon apple and it was delicious.
🍂🌼The fall mums by the entrance arrange on top of a hay wagon right next to the farm owners home in front of a classic white picket fence an a beautiful tall tree is the perfect stage for a fall picture that will never go out of style.
📏📈Right next to the horses stable on the side you can find a “ how tall am I now“ sign that marks your growth for that year until the next time you return.
🐴🌭🍩🌾🎃 🎤Apple picking, horse rides, pumpkin picking & painting, apple cider donuts, food and live music continues to be a classic part of the family own farm, not to mention the store w/ fresh pics from their farm with a wide selection of foods and best pies around 🥧. There’s something for everyone not just “ fun “ but educational as well, learning how to milk a cow from a wooden cow like structure, to a little museum like walk explaining the process of how things grow in the farm & fun Jersey facts ( changes every year) to the recent addition of a winery 🍷. Yes through the years more and more families have heard about the farm and it can get pretty packed - but the beauty is that because there is so much to do, you can walk around the farm doing various things without it being uncomfortable 🤫🌳🍏🍎 The Perez family enjoys taking a rest on any of the apple orchids roll to have some quiet time - but that’ll be our little secret 😉.

Fall apple fest
Sep 2019
We live so close to here and yet have never visited before this fall. What a lovely place. They make incredible wines (best peach wine I have found in 10 years), delicious ciders and apple butters from their own orchards and many other great foodie finds. They had a lovely array of pumpkins and mums for sale or you could pick your own. Had the best caramel apple of my life made from one of their own apples and homemade caramel. They had many activities for families such as hayrides, games and face painting.
