Authentic beauty and a must see. Do ignore the sign barring the visit past the first waterfall, missing out on the other two really makes no sense and there is no real danger to watch out for.

Thankfully, read the reviews encouraging bug spray. Road up to falls is under construction, just keep going! Beautiful water fall and grounds. Sign is clear-no swimming...but I was tempted. Worth the trip-especially on a cloudy non-beach day.

This is called "Tahiti's most accessible waterfall" and they're not kidding. It's about a 3 minute walk from the parking lot, and you can see it as you drive up! But wow, is it ever tall, and gorgeous too! Apparently you can keep walking to...More

There's meant to be 3 waterfalls that you can see here within a short distance of each other (Vaimahuta, Haa Maremare Iti, Haa Maremare Rahi). Unfortunately the path to 2 of them was closed when we went (June 2018) and I believe it has been...More

It was nice to see this area. Waterfalls not like Hawaii but they were nice. Kids enjoyed the water.

Despite the rain the day we went this was worth the trek. Beautiful falls with lovely pool at the bottom. We waded in quickly for photos but would have been great to swim in the pool! Definitely take your bug spray! On your way back...More

When we visited Faarumai waterfall during our island tour, the bridge and road had been temporarily repaired from a previous storm's destruction. But our small tour van could maneuver over the temporary bridge and down the short road to the waterfall car park. Along the...More

We've had a lot of experiences in Tahiti but this waterfall was one of the best. The road is still a little rough and part of the adventure is seeing the immediate neighborhood as one drives to the trail head. The bridge and trail leading...More

We did a 4WD expedition through this area and to the waterfalls. The country side beautiful and the waterfalls gorgeous. My husband swam in the creek, bit too cold for me! Worth a visit as it is a very natural and untouched part of Papeete.

We hired a car for the day and drove around the island taking a trip in to see the waterfalls... the legend about the 3 waterfalls is great and was very entertaining for our kids. Sadly the bridge was closed and taped over so we...More

Unfortunately I can't assist as I hired a car for the duration of my stay and saw the falls during a circumnavigation drive of the island. I hope someone else can advise you and that you enjoy your trip. Cheers, Greg.
