Nice, if you have time to explore the island

Very nice waterfalls, easy to reach by car. Shining under the sun, they deserve a visit. If you are on rush, you can skip them though.

Number 19 on the tourist map, this attraction is on the east coast, or black sand, side of the island and is well signposted with a red sail tourist sign. The approach from the main road is an interesting narrow lane that passes through a village that’s seemingly infested with dogs that are reluctant to give way to vehicles. Entry... More

The parking is up a narrow alley but from the parking lot they are an easy walk. Good story boards at this site.

I did not have a rental car so I journeyed to the waterfalls by foot and by bus. The bus dropped me off one mile away from the actual site. After hiking, I was quite hot and thirsty. It has been dry in Tahiti, so the waterfalls were very small. The place was deserted--I was the only tourist there. I... More

This should be #1 attraction if you are in Tahiti. Beautiful set of 3 waterfalls which you can pretty much drive close to. I saw the previous reviews that it was closed and gave a poor rating for a natural wonder (!!). We went here twice during our stay and it was closed the 2nd time as mentioned -- no... More

Definitely worth a stopover if you are driving around the island as it is just 5 minutes off the main road. Very picturesque waterfalls in an unspoilt tropical setting. Quite peaceful and relaxing walking along the tracks. Very important that you remember to take mosquito repellent.

The Three Waterfalls are a very nice. The falls are about 300 feet high, falling into a small pond. It is an easy drive to reach the falls, about three miles off the main road. The turnoff is marked by a lone red sign just after the tunnel. On our visit, the actual walking bridge was out of service so... More

We were on a bus tour, not sure of what to expect, and this image (just like the photo above) springs up on you. Try not to hurry, enjoy!

save yourself the time. We finally found the waterfall road, drove to the very end of the road only to be told by workman that it was closed and looked like it had been for quite some time

It was such an easy walk to see this marvellous gem in Tahiti. The landscape was green and luscious and so quite. The waterfall was beautiful and it made the perfect spot for photos
