We stopped here today on our drive from Velenje to Maribor. The small village of 7,000 has a toll booth set up on each side of its 400 m downtown street (20 minutes for 20 p). We managed to park and walk to its old town hall, now Provincial Museum, and its 13th-16th C St Elizabeth Parish Church with a beautiful interior.
Just outside the center in the surrounding meadow, we drove to 14th-16th C St Radegunde with its “stations of the cross” trail up to “castle hill” with its prominent 12th-18th C St Pancras.

St. Elizabeth is biggest church in this small town. You can't miss it in the middle of the medieval centre. From outside it is Gothic building, inside it has mainly rich Baroque decorations with fantastic pulpit and main altar. Any visitor can admire some Renaissance tombstones, too. Take your time and read some descriptions left from the entrance.

This is one of the most unique churches, due to the numerous architecture styles that can be see inside the church. Interior is also extensively decorated and quite amazing to look at.

Be sure to check the exterior of the church as well. Another smaller church (Church of the Holy Spirit) is located right beside the Church of St. Elizabeth.
