Malwa Plateau in Central India houses one of the best landscape.. Choral dam has been developed by civil administration as a Picnic Place. It has a well laid out restaurant though hygiene appears to be an issues. Walk around the dam refreshes the visitors... A best suited place for Day outing if you are staying in Indore... It will take a half day to visit Choral Dam from Indore.. You can club your visit to this place with Patal Pani (a natural waterfall) which is not far way..

Around 40km drive from Indore and 15 km from Mhow near Badgonda on Mhow Mandleshwar Road. Dam site is a large water body with Forest around. A MP Tourism small resort is there with rooms and restaurant. We had not stayed there and had not taken lunch at Hotel. We just used their boat club facility to have boating for half an hour, which was enjoyable. They charge for entry to boat club and boating which is reasonable looking to a small garden being maintained with few play articles for kids. We enjoyed local DAAL BAFLA Lunch in a small Hut restaurant and later Tea /Pakoda also at another road side eatery which were good. This is a nice place for half /full day activity along with family. Swimming is not allowed in Dam water.

We visited the Choral Dam with Kids (1 and 3 year ) old with grand parents and it is good experience. The boat ride is good (min 10 people need to start) with 15 min ride . It cost approx 130 INR .They provide safety jacket and mandatory. Restaurant provide delicious veg as well non veg food including Fish. 6 ~8 hours is more than sufficient . Cheers
