What a great place to visit if your interested in the Great War. The museum was 8 Euro entrance fee and well worth it. Lots of exhibits, information and photos.

Parking is free. Cafe in museum. An unusual collection of artifacts especially the view boxes. The trenches are enlightening and provide a real sense of the conditions even though some of them are not original. Would suggest walking boots as it can get muddy when wet.

I visited this place on a school trip about 30 years ago and I do remember parts of this museum. They do have a good collection but there are some items on display that are out of place - I would expect everything to be WWI and for the most part (95%) this is the case. There are better museums... More

Amazing place giving you a feeling of what those soldiers had to endure. Kept very much as it was. On entry one is even able to view through photographs the lives of these men at that time

Interesting but a bit of a strange mix of objects haphazardly thrown together. There are no descriptions which is a bit frustrating and the entry fee seemed high. Only took around 45 minutes to go around.

Took this trip and thought it well worth the visit. It brought home the horrors of war quite vividly. A small museum with primitive interactive what the butler saw boxes. However when wandering through the woods and the preserved trenches it was easy to visualise and feel what the troops endured. We had sunny weather and still there was quick... More

This is an amazing place for people that are interested in the ww1 trenches. It is very interesting to learn about how the soldiers from ww1 lived! Would definitely recommend to a friend

Some of the reviews left us wary of this visit, but although it was worth it, I'm not sure it was worth €8 per adult. Interesting to see the trenches, intrigued to see all the memorabilia too. Definitely worth a stop off, but an hour max would be enough to see everything.

Amazing and surreal, make sure you take wellies as we did to make the most of this awe inspiring landmark. This was definitely a highlight of our stay in Ypres, with a quaint cafè an interesting museum, the trench is the real draw of this tourist destination sitting in a pockmarked hill a reminence of relentless shelling my son walked...
