To say thank you to the brave souls who rest here in eternal peace seems insufficient.
We shall never forget the sacrifices they made and memorials like this and the many others across Belgium and France provide us all with a link to the past that we can carry forward into the future.

This was our last stop on our journey to follow in my Grandfathers foot steps in WW1. To me this Memorial was not just to the men of the 5th that died in the many battles but also to all who served and like my GF who succumbed to their wounds & illness's well before their proper time. I never got to meet him but felt nothing but immense pride on his (and all of the troops) service & duty and everybody should honour their memory & offer a prayer that we never have to face the same !
