Across the road from the Hooge Crater Museum, it is worth the effort in paying your respects to the fallen soldiers who lost their lives in this region.

What can you say, visit the museum and then the cemetery. There are so many in this area, so many dead people its hard to comprehend just how many people died fighting for freedom in Ypres and the surrounding areas. Emotional and hard to forget these images of grave stones.

This cemetery is across the road from the Hooge Crater Museum. A Large, immaculate cemetery with over 5,000 graves.

Visiting here was the first time that I have seen more than one fallen soldier, commemorated on a single head stone. I saw 5 head stones close together, in a row, that commemorated a total of 28 men.

Another impeccably kept CWGC military cemetery, right opposite the Hooge Crater museum. As ever, it's poignant to wander through the rows and reflect on a terrible time in history.

This is just over the road from the Hooge Crater museum and is worth a visit. A large cemetery with over 5000 graves.

Thought provoking, humbled by those named and those unnamed but remembered. There are so many, be prepared for the emotions.

A really nice, well cared for cemetery from World War 1. There are many gravestones here, a lot of which are memorializing more than one soldier. There are soldiers from Scotland, Ireland, Britain, Canada, Australia and more. This cemetery is laid out very nicely and, even though it is solemn, it was a very nice visit. I would recommend a visit here if you enjoy cemeteries.

A very peaceful place to visit and to remember the sacrifice made for us. Everything is well maintained and tidy, it's easy to use the cemetery records to find graves.

I have lots of respect for the maintaining of the cemeteries. Perfectly in line. There is a book that informs you about the soldiers lying there. You can find your relatives by alphabetical order in the book.
