While the building most definitely is cool it didn't look like it was worth the entrance fee so I decided to just have a look outside instead.

Renoved fortress to visit, to have an impression of ancient time and life, some explications; there is a brasserie, for drinking a good coffee and perhaps also a restaurant to organize feasts.

Not a lots there, just an empty shell. Not one of Napoleon's better ideas! Best access is via the free ferry which runs across the harbour from the Fishmarket

Fort Napoleon is definitely worth a visit; The fort is renovated in a very nice way with a modern and good) restaurant integrated in the old fortress. The audioguide is interesting as long as the actor playing a French soldier is not speaking, very annoying.

The refurbishment work here is impressive, to turn around a ruined fort, restore it to very good condition, including a modern bar/restaurant, and well made audio visual guide via ipod. The ferry and walk over to the Fort is also very pleasant. Make sure to...More

This is the best preserved fort that was build by Napoleon. Although used throughout the ages, there was a Roman fort before on the site, by the military of several countries, it never was invaded or saw military action, and is largely so well preserved...More

This is not a hotel. But I can assure you that in Belgium all hotelrooms are non-smoking.
