Used to be the heart of the port activities for commerce with the historical city of Ghent. Now reduced to a romantic hot spot. The swans are the icon of Bruges as the monkeys are on the Gibraltar Rock. Great to see that the de...More

Very lovely and romantic lake...situated in city center, you can visit it during a boat tour or go by walking and spend more time in this beautiful park. Kids would love it 😊

Just before we went to our walking tour of Bruges’ canals we stopped by this lake. The swans are said to be here for centuries. There are restaurants on the right and right across is the famous convent. Picture perfect area.

We were told this one of the most photographed areas and when you see you don't doubt it. Loved the bridge and the local area.

This was surely the most pleasant place to spend time away from the hustle and bustle of Bruges. The walkway, the swans, the little bridges, so pleasant and better yet its free,!

Walking by this lake is a must to avoid some of the crowds in Bruges although it can get busy as people walk through from the main drop off point for coaches. Lovely setting, plenty of seating to watch the swans pass-by. Very peaceful later...More
