We saw what we thought was a restaurant across the canal as we first arrived in Bruges and it looked beautiful. When we later made our way to the park it turned out to be a cafe/bar. The bar is in a lovely, quaint setting,...More

With the sun shining and a little breeze the lake was glorious. Even with all the crowds around it was easy to imagine oneself there alone. The buildings and bridges around the lake are attractions in themselves. Well worth the walk.

Loved the setting. Old medieval buildings around the lake. Quaint old bridges. Great photos. Beautiful swans.

We walked around this "lake" and took a couple photos from the pedestrian bridge. It itself is not worth the walk from the Markt square. However, nearby is the nuns retirement residences which made the walk worthwhile. Very little to see at the lake.

We wanted to visit the lake on our trip (it’s featured in the film ‘In Bruges!) but didn’t at first realise we’d been in the lake! great modern exhibition at the moment - the floating school!
