The lake isn't far from the centre of Bruges and the tourist attractions. Worth visiting for a short stroll and a pleasant place to eat a picnic.

Brugge is a magical city and this is one place you should definitely go for walking. It’s a quite place with lots of paths and with a beautiful scenery. You can see swans and gooses too.

This park/lake/bridge complex lies at the southern end of the town, near the railway station. We were lucky with beautiful, sunny weather. The park provides a good contrast to the architectural delights of the old town.

What a lovely walk and great views. Try a beer overlooking the lake. So nice . We thoroughly enjoyed our morning. It is close to the action but very peaceful

Later on this gets crowded with tour parties towards the city end. However if you are staying in Brugge/Bruges it is quiet early on and the end furthest from the city is much quieter.

Nothing wrong with this park, but it wasn't worth the walk across town to see it. The swans were corralled behind a wire fence with lots of feathers flying.

Just sit on a bench and people and bird watch , maybe, for a while. A peaceful and relaxing haven, apart from when tourist parties walk by. Plenty of water fowl to admire. We did a complete circuit and explored both sides. Even quieter on...More
