Stunning Views. Perfect Place for a Picnic or your Lunch Break
We passed this area whilst walking around Bruges and we were all blown away by the beauty of the lake. We decided to stop for lunch here and enjoyed the views as we ate. I would highly recommend it for a picnic or nice walk

    Soothing lake
In contrast to Bruges' tourist crowd and lively vibe, Minnewater is a tranquil lake unaffected by the outside world. The serene waterfront adds a bit of romance to the picturesque Belgian city. Do spend some time for a stroll after appreciating the beauty of the Markt and Burg.

    Lovely place
Minnewater (“Water of Love”) is a beautiful and quiet park with lakes, canals, flower boxes, weeping willows and whole flocks of swans. Once here, we felt that we were in an ideal world. To get there you have to walk 15-20 minutes from the city center (let's say toward to Begijhof - one more beautiful place. don't miss it). Minnewater Lake connected to the Minnewater park and you get two pleasures in one. Admire the lake, the silence, stand on the bridge decorated with flower baskets, this is a great place for a photos. Have plenty of time in Bruges and don't miss out on a lot of things to do, including this lake and park, perhaps the cutest town in Europe.

This small area is good for a stroll but little else as its bushes and concrete paths mainly. Yes, peaceful but not a destination place.

A great relaxing green space in Brugge. I imagine it would be a poetic scenery if it wasn't raining when I was there. Lively tree, grass and water. Love to be there for a walk again in a sunny day.

A pleasant spot in Bruges. Peaceful. A little bit away from some of the large crowds that you find in Bruges. Worth visiting.

We spent a most pleasant few hors at the restaurant overlooking the lake . Great to find such a tranquil spot to rest and have a beer and maybe a meal away from the hustle and bustle of the city .

A lovely area to walk around, the reflections perfect in the calm waters of the lake. The trees provide some cool shade - a place to stop and rest.

South of the old city this lake beautifully reflects the trees, buildings and bridge - a tranquil walk.

Not as big as we anticipated but a lovely walk nonetheless on our way into Bruges from the train station.
If you wish to avoid the busy cafes and restaurants on a warm day then bring a picnic and just wallow in nature and the peace n quiet.
