Bruges' City Hall (1376) is one of the oldest in the Low Countries. It is from here that the city has been governed for more than 600 years. An absolute masterpiece is the Gothic Hall, with its late 19th-century murals and polychrome vault. The adjoining historic hall calls up the city council's history with a number of authentic documents and works of art. A multimedia exhibition on the ground floor illustrates the evolution of the Burg Square.

This building is gorgeous but it's too bad the stage that appears to be there all summer obscures the view of this building. It's such a shame to have half of the building covered over.

This was a great area to get some family photos and sit at one of the cafes around the main square and regroup.

Not much to really say - it's a Town Hall - keep your expectations in line. It's old, it's in Brugge and you can cover the whole thing in about 30 minutes.
