Brilliant factory tour given by a very experienced owner. All their chocolates are made and sold on site and they are justly very proud of their produce! Great gift idea and treats for yourself - needless to say all the chocolate tastes out of this world!

There are a lot of chocolate shops in Bruges but only a couple actually make the chocolate by hand, the others sell chocolate made in factories. This chocolate has to be tasted to be believed. It's also worth checking out the coffee shop opposite, as that is run by the same people and sells their chocolate.

We visited this chocolate shop as part of an organised trip to Bruges. The demonstration in the back of the shop was very informative and the smell of chocolate is certainly a chocolate lovers idea of bliss. A free chocolate at the end prompts you into spending in the shop. The chocolate maker has a very dry sense of humour... More

With so many chocolatier shops to choose from (and why stop at only one), we found Chocolaterie Sukerbuyc. A small shop with an amazing display of chocolates in a variety of beautiful packages. We were a bit put off when the shopkeeper abruptly "demanded" to know what we wanted and was annoyed that we wanted to look around. Sure, I... More

We visited as part of a walking tour & enjoyed a demonstration of the chocolate making & a free sample, which was delicious. Unfortunately the temperatures made it impossible to bring anything back home, but would recommend the chocolate discs the sell in the gift shop.

They mould, fill and decorate chocolates on site using their nown chocolate recipie. The smell as you enter is divine and the short demo is very informative and relaxed. Do buy a selection of chocolates from here and go across the road to their friendly tea shop which serves the best apple cake known to mankind.

A visit to this artisan chocolate maker revealed an excellent demonstration of how these chocolates are made with a free sample at the end. Opposite the shop is their own tea/coffee house with an interesting take on serving a cup of hot chocolate complete with chocolate samples. An excellent visit.

This place is amazing. While in Brugge we loved this place so much that we visited it twice and tried different cakes both times. Brugge is famous for its hot chocolate but at Sukerbuyc it was on a different level. All drinks were served with handmade chocolate. Just heaven!!
