There is nothing quite as wonderful as shopping at a local market. In Bruges, I was told this is possible almost every day. We visited on Saturday and discovered there was a food market selling both fresh and cooked food in the Market Square from...More

It's an amazing place for people who like to cook, and to discover new and fresh ingredients. For the same reason, it may be more attractive for inhabitants of the city, not all tourists will find it that interesting.

The locals certainly know where to get fresh meat and vegetables and fruit and flowers! This is a must see event if you are in the area. Why not make a picnic of these fine foods?

It's a beautiful market to take a stroll in regardless of whether you wish to buy something or not. It's beauty gets enhanced by the setting of Brugge as a town.
