When in Bruges, there’s nothing like viewing this historic city from its canals. These affordable, 30-minute boat tours follow the same routes and offer commentary in several languages. But because they’re incredibly popular with visitors, don’t be surprised by long waits in line.

If you visit Bruges make the time for a canal tour. It is so interesting to go past buildings hundreds if years old. Only takes about 60 minutes and gives good feel of town. Great walking city.

This steamer look-alike paddle boat starts from the very edge of the city and only make 4 round trips, so is never a crowded as the quicker city trips. The journey is about 5 Km and takes about 40 minutes. There isn't a lot to...More

If you're in Bruges you have to take a canal cruise. The boats aren't too big and the sights are fantastic. It feels like a little Amsterdam.

Ok for a leisurely cruise down a straight canal. Damme is a quiet little village. Not much to do but some nice cake shops. Was a grey day when did this trip . Bit of a walk to landing point where you catch boat. But...More

How cruel that an international group of 23 people who were booked to leave Damme to travel to Brugge at 11am were kept waiting for 1 hour for bus group that did not arrive. This then meant our tour in Brugge was rushed. Very angry...More

A canal boat up a straight canal with minimally interesting views. Uninteresting town, apart from very over priced and mediocre restaurants. Total tourist trap in all honesty. I don't know what I could possibly recommend. I'm a lot poorer after an expensive lunch - thats...More

A cute little town with interesting history, the canal trip was very relaxing and it was fun looking at all the beautiful homes and lots of tents with fishermen along the way

Damme - a delightful small village. You arrive there by boat on a canal. There i reccomend to go slow - wonder through the village, eat at a local restaurant, enjoy the calm atmosphere. I reccomend to spend there 2-3 hours. On the sides of...More

We went on the boat, which looks like a steamboat, from Damme and it was a lovely way to pass an afternoon after wandering around all morning. You can sit outside on the top deck if it's fine or inside where there is a little...More

Great way to experience the city from a different perspective. We timed it so that we could relax after a full morning of sightseeing. Beautiful views & buildings & our 'captain' was very entertaining. Also a great way to find places you'd like to explore...More

We consider the trip by bike, but found it more interesting to discover Bruges and Ghent instead via Canal and walking.
