Great way to see the city

The horses only do 2.5 hours a day, with a 5 minute break on every half hour tour, 2 or 3 days a week. That's the first thing to say. Once I'd used this potential falsehood to relax my guilt about being carted around by a workhorse I thoroughly enjoyed it. We saw parts of the city we otherwise wouldn't... More

Recommended for a couples as well as families as it can be really romantic, as wel as a lot of fun for children. We went while it was snowing and got a little blanket which made it areally great, romantic, cosy experience. The driver gave a few insights about different places in Bruges we passed.

This is well worth the money! We paid a little extra and our driver gave us a verbal tour of Bruges as well. He was a funny guy that took great pride in his home. The tour went through all old Bruges and stopped once at the park to water the horses. This was a great stop as the park... More

This was a great way to get introduced to the city. The tour guides give you lots of info as you go through the city streets, and they were helpful with other questions that we had after we finished the tour. Yes, you can see Bruges very easily by just walking around, but it's a nice change listening about it... More

This is a great way to see some parts of the city of Bruges that can be missed by the average tour. The guides are very informative providing a commentary and answering questions about the buildings, canals, statues etc. Also a pleasant change from many places that offer horse drawn carriage trips, the 'drivers' here look after the horses. They... More

This was well worth the €50! It lasted 30 minutes and the tour guide was great, told us a lot of information and took us to places we wouldn't have found otherwise. The horses looked well and happy which is also nice to see. Would definitely recommend . Our 4 yr old loved it.

The tour was around half an hour long with a five minute stop off so the horse could rest and replenish. We really didn't see much that we hadn't seen previously nor anything that you can't see better walking. The €50 price is regardless of how many are going. For me and the wife this was a very steep cost.... More

We loved the horse drawn carriage tour - Yes it is a little pricey but it is such a lovely way to see the sights. Our guide was so friendly and informative. The tour lasts around 30/40 mins with a little rest stop for the horse, I would recommend you do the tour as the 1st thing you do as... More

The best way to explore Bruges is to walk around on foot with a guide book but if you don't have time (or book) then taking a horse carriage ride is a very good alternative. The coachman speaks good English and tells many interesting facts along the way. The ride stops half way at a nice area so you have... More

Our visit to Bruges coincided with my birthday so what better way to see the sights in a horse drawn carriage. Our guide Sophie spoke excellent English & her funny commentary was very entertaining. This really helped us get our bearings for the rest of the day. Expensive for 50euro for just 2. Obviously a group of 4 makes it... More
