A good circular walk can be planed to take in the gates and the windmills using the canals. There are plenty of folks walking running and cycling as the paths are well structured.

The place where the windmills are located is very green and pleasant. It takes 20 minutes from the Bruges center, but it is mandatory to see the windmills.

If you have an hour or so then walk round the outer city and take in the sights of the windmills and canals. Very relaxing.

A nice walk along the river to see 5 windmills just out the centre of Bruges. Quiet and good to get away from the busier centre.

We had a wander away from the hustle and bustle of central Bruges to explore the windmills and outer canals. We weren't diappointed. There are several windmills to view amidst the beautiful canals and it was well worth the visit.
