Vist at least the first one for a pretty cool view of the tops of the city's most iconic structures. If you're feeling brave, climb up the steps for a slightly higher (and therefore slightly higher view). The walk was pretty incredible with the leaves...More

If you are in Bruges during the fall, make sure you have this in your list. You can start the walk at the canal just next to city train station and you won't regret it. The warm but little tired sunlight makes everything look great...More

Great walk along the outer canal area and views from the I believe 5 windmills. Takes about 30 minutes to do the walk and you get to see some parts of Brugge outside the market square areas. Very relaxing.

The Art Route around Brugge is a nice, peaceful walk through park area, by canals, and even windmills. The windmills are the highlight of this walk because they are very unexpected but, lovely. If you plan a visit to Brugge, venture outside of the historic...More

We strolled through a neighborhood, peaceful and quiet from our B&B to see four Windmills. A must when you go to Bruges. Weather was beautiful, soft breeze and sunshine. Perfect walk away from the hustle and bustle.

The Art Route is phenomenal. The only problem is the number of people. Impossible to appreciate the beauty, you have to raise your eyes to the top of the building. We migrate to a smaller street out of the route and discovered another art route,...More

I spent some time following the canal surrounding central Bruges. I stopped for a nice sit at several locations. Many locals were also following this trail on foot and on bicycles. The scenery is quite diverse as you wend along the trail. Very pleasant.

After using a touristy-museum's free wifi to research and determine to not visit it (brutal, I know), we decided to make the 15 minute trek to the eastern edge of the city. These windmills are stunning and offer trails that walk right up to them....More

Seeing windmill images on the tourist map prompted us to get on't'internet and discover the windmills of Bruges. 4 windmills on the canal bank makes for a great walk, out of and back into the centre of town. Definitely a walk that takes you away...More

The walk can be as long as you want it to be, it all depends how long you want to spend at the various venues along the way. We just allowed a morning to enjoy it and when in the centre you can deviate off and then... More
