Very beautiful place to explore and see several old Windmills. They are closed but you can climb the stairs or walk around them for viewing.

In Bruges, there is a road where we can see 4 wind mills. The road goes along a channel and everything looks very romantic and peaceful. The wind mills are closed, but we can go near them and climb the exterior stairs. They are beautiful!

It is really worth taking a walk through this are. It is an amazing way to see the windmills up lose without having o deal with the tourist crowds. It feels like you are way out in the country side.

We took a map from our hotel and walked a suggested route. It took us by 3 windmills on the outer edge of the city. 2 were in very good shape. They were locked and were not operational. Not much on the structure to tell...More

We had fun exploring the windmills. They were quite attractive. There was one windmill that we could visit for a fee. We had a great views over the city. Wow! A little bit further were different windmills, ones that make electricity. I enjoyed my trek...More

It is possible to climb to the top of one windmill which gives you a perfect panoramic view of Bruges - would highly recommend doing this. It actually provides a free and much nicer and more peaceful view in comparison with the belfry!

We had planned a visit here. Then we discovered our walking tour ended up here but we still returned the next day as it was just that nice. Don't think it is worth the money to climb up into the windmill though.

The walk can be as long as you want it to be, it all depends how long you want to spend at the various venues along the way. We just allowed a morning to enjoy it and when in the centre you can deviate off and then... More
