This area is easily missed if one doesn’t know about the college. We walked through here most days and enjoyed the peace as well as the statues. On a sunny day we saw young people enjoying the quiet and sun. A residence for students.

There is a great garden where you can spend sometime chilling. It's an ancient dorm only for males. There is a bar in a basement where there used to be the monks cellar.

This is one of my favourite places to escape the busy streets. Here I can sit and read a book, enjoy the peace and quiet. This amazing architectural accomplishment thanks his name to Pope Adrianus VI which was not only a student, doctor of theology,...More

Be sure to admire/scratch your head at the lions (?) adorning the staircase down into the courtyard here, which feels very much like any of the prestigious colleges in the UK.

A really nice court yard is the center of Pope College. One can see the old buildings where the theology students studied in the old days. An interesting place to visit.

One can only visit the outside, but the architecture of this quad or rectangle college is quite impressive and worth the walk. It is between the M Museum and the historic centre, so not too much of a detour.

This a pittoresque site in the heart of the city in a classical style. Along both sites of the large input stage in the interior garden you will find two large lion statues of the modern sculptor Strebelle.

If you want the Oxford college feel, just walk into Pope Collge off the Hogeschoolplein. Just goes to show that Leuven is vastly underrate as university town.

... but the history bounds of every wall. Try to get one of the current tenants to show you the student bar in the basement :)

Enjoyed seeing this historic site. It's scenic and peaceful. If you are already visiting the Catholic University of Leuven, it's easy to pop in. (Also see St. Michael's, if it's open.)
