Great views of the canals, St Michael's church and the Belfort. Very popular destination so it's best to go towards the end of the day and try to capture setting sun. The reflections on the water at night are really pretty and the bridge is...More

St Michael’s Bridge is a great spot to take photos of the three cathedrals aligned and the historic buildings on either side of the river. It is also a pretty bridge itself so don’t forget to take a photo of the bridge too.

Since much of this part of Belgium is fairly flat, even a slight elevation yields a view, and much of the historic area can be seen including the hulking presence of the Castle of the Counts.

You really must see it yourself: this is the most beautiful spot in Ghent and near al the important churches, restaurants and shops in this beautiful city. Don't forget to take the riverboat, just downstairs. Just wonderful!

When you cross the bridge, enjoy the view. I spent a lot of time here, just looking all over me and trying to remember the beautiful scenery Ghent has.

Great views and scenic photos. I spent more time here during daylight but returned at dusk. Much better photos at dusk, but great to people watch everyone during the day.

St Michael’s Bridge is pretty busy throughout-the day and early evening. Like throughout the city the Bridge shares and preserves a great medieval architecture to be enjoyed. The landmark takes pretty much 10 - 15mins at most to leisurely look and picture the various parts...More

Bridge is a real local landmark. Very distinctive, in front of church. There are steps leading up to the road from the riverside. Lovely views from bridge and great photo opportunity.

I just came back from Amsterdam yesterday! The quickest way is to take the Express train to Brussels and change to Ghent,I suppose. Better have a look on the railways's site good luck,
