Graslei is a great place to sit at in the summer with your friends, however it will be completely flooded with local students. It looks quite nice and enjoying the sun there is always a pleasure. However, in my opinion it lacks a bit of green, some trees or decent grass would improve the place to a 5/5

Much like Bruges, the waterside architecture is visually stunning and it is easy to imagine having wandered along the cobbles hundreds of years before with exactly the same view.

At 1913 they planned to build in Ghent something which has to attract tourists (quite new for that time !!). They made something really wonderfull. Thanks to a French light-architect is this place, also in the evening a beautifull place to stand still for a few minutes. Or a few hours if you take a seat at one of the... More

There are lots of old buildings here and has very nice view from the bridge. It's a very nice place to walk around and take pictures.

The most romantic area of the city. Beautiful for its artistical value, this area around the canals makes you want to go around and around with your beloved one. Perfect above all in the night time, when artificial light make everything bright in a artificial but perfect way.

Unfortunately our day in Ghent included constant rain, but I could still see why people love Graslei and Korenlei. There was some very interesting construction going on, pictures included, which impacted the views a bit. I hope to return one day to better experience this and the rest of the city.
