Packed with picknicking youngsters on mild summer evenings. The place to see and to be seen. Several beer lounges and restaurants on the quai for the more affluent generation who don't like so sit on cobblestone any more.

Eventhough Gent does not have a beach, it has the Graslei/Korenlei. The great place to have a cocktail in the sun! See lots of boats and just enjoy the city during the day and night !

Very short walking area where people hang out. Nothing overly special. Normally, the opposite side of the canal would look nice, but many of the buildings were covered in scaffolding.

Walk along this canal, to explore the city in all its beauty! Plenty of inviting pubs serve delicious Belgian beers, and good food and snacks.

You can get a train to Gent and it's a 40 mins walk form the train station or you can get a tram and it will take only 10mins.
