Really pretty castle right in the centre of Gent. Looks like from a movie. Something different than all the churches and cathedrals. Interesting interiors including torture exhibition and exteriors with city views. Entrance 10 EUR.

Lots of nooks and crannies to crawl around in this castle. Roof-tops and basements. Some good views of the city. Fairly inexpensive.

Well worth an hour to see. The armament and torture instrument displays are fascinating. The only caution I offer is that there are a lot of steep spiral staircases to climb.

Gravensteen is located in the heart of the old city of Ghent. It's a bit overpriced comparing to other castles around Europe although is an interesting place to visit
