This is just behind the lovely Hotel Hancelot and quite out if the way. It's beautiful. Quite and delightful with a few explanatory signs. Well worth a look.

This was a history lesson on something I was totally unaware of. It was very interesting to stroll through the grounds and see how these women lived. Definitely something worth doing a bit of research on before visiting, There were no guides so you need...More
I was expecting a much smaller establishment, but the groups of houses around the church was far greater than I had imagined. Some of them have been restored and are now social housing, and many more are awaiting their turn. Unmarried women and widows used...More
Little bit out of the beaten path, this small alleys between gardens and cobblestones offer a very relaxing atmosphere and worth the small detour. Not as nice as other begijnhof in Flanders but not crowded at all.

A little bit far from the center and just a small street. Not the best in Belgium. If you have time, ok. Otherwise, I believe you can save some time to see the Beguinage in Leuven or Bruges.
After having visited multiple other beguinages in Holland and Belgium, I highly recommend a visit to Our lady of Ter Hoyen Beguinage. It appears the small townhouses are now rented out (i.e., signs for a very high end real estate company were posted on one)....More
