We stayed in an apartment opposite this exhibition. Small but informative exhibition if you are interested in Mr Sax. Stays open until late.

This museum is set in the house where Adolphe Sax lived when he invented his Saxaphone. The town of Dinant is worth visiting in general; I wouldn't go there just for this museum, but if you're in town anyway, it's worth a stop. The museum is only a couple small rooms, with some saxophones and a little information about Sax and his invention. It's small, but free, and will only take you a few minutes to walk through.

Drop by and take your picture on the bench with the statue of Adolphe Sax outside, but don't expect much from the museum. It is tiny and does not contain a lot of interest.

Sit on the bench, have a photo and go.

The museum is very small and not really much to see. We were disappointed as it could have been so much more

Dinant is quite proud of their famous citizen. If you have ever wondered about the man who invented the saxophone – this museum is for you. It’s a small museum but it’s definitely worth your time. Since you came to Dinant – you can’t miss the saxophone bridge, but this museum explains more about the man himself. Perhaps more importantly – it’s free!

Small room, hardly bigger than the average classroom, but with a wealth of information about the inventor, and a wonderful exhibit of instruments (he made many). If you push a button, you can hear how they sound.

Small room with enough information to give an overall view of his life, and buttons to press for some music, saxophone of course!
