    Beautiful inside and out!
Great rainy day or sunny day activity! The permanent and rotating exhibitions are not so overwhelming that you cannot do them both in a couple of hours. The prices are very reasonable and the staff helpful. Nestled in a pretty park, the museum is accessible by foot from the main part of the city.

    Disappointing
To be fair, half of the exhibits were missing or they were awaiting a new exhibition, but our trip here was something of a waste of time with so little to see to justify the taxi fare over. The art on show is eclectic to say the least, but it doesn't quite work having so many disperate works of art together in such close proximity. There are one or two highlights - I won't spoil the surprise, but don't feel bad if you don't make it over.

    Must see in Liege!
Beautifully situated art museum. The content of the museum is not complicated and it is not very large so it is possible to see all parts in 2-3 hours. Brasserie has a great view of rose gardens. It was great to walk in the park and enjoy the nature too.

Due to the large temporary innovative Bill Viola Exhibit, much of the permanent collection was not on display, however I relished some fine paintings by Lambert Lombard("Scenes From The Life of Saint Denis"),Henri Met Bles("Landscape With Christ's Disciples"),Gerard de Lairesse("Judith",awesome Mannerism),Ferdinand Bol("Head of Saint Peter"),Christian Kohler("Semiramis"),Jean Auguste Dominque Ingres("Napoleon"),Claude Monet("Harbor Scene",awesome French Impressionism),Henri Le Sidaner("Trianon"),Camille Pissarro("Le Louvre,Paris"),Paul Signac("Le Chateau de Combiar"),Oskar Kokoshka("Monte Carlo,Austrian Expressism),Pablo Picasso("Family Soler"),and Kees Von Dongen("Violinist"),among others. This art museum in very French Speaking Liege has a special charm.A French-English for English Speakers might come in handy.

The exhibition (Rothschild) was a disappointment (too small, not enough big names for my taste) but the own collection is superb, with a fantastic Meunier painting for exemple. Too bad they don't have a secure cloakroom, and not enough lockers.

I didn't pick the best day as there was a strike affecting government employees - as a result only part of the museum was open, but it was really excellent. The building is a mix of the original museum and a modern extension with a lot of viewing space. The exhibition itself (Costa Lefkochir) was very good and the works come over much better is real life than in photographs.

A disappointing trip. Came to Liege from Bruxelles just for the museum. The staff does not even say hi, they don’t provide maps, poor exhibition, bad taste of art, terrible coffee, rude sfaff…

It was the first time I visited this museum. The building is very beautiful, it lies in a small park. I came here for the exhibition of Andy Warhol. What a nice experience! He's famous for his pop art, but there were also drawings, clothes, book covers, photos .... The historic info was also great. And the music!! Loved it!

Within walking distance from the Guillemins station ; La Boverie. I visited the Warhol exhibition today and it was exquisit. Great build up of the exhibition with time framing. Must see when you’re in Liege.

We went there on the first Sunday of the month, on the first Sunday of the month all museums are free in Liege. Some people paid for the special exhibition but the permanent exhibition is free of charge on this day. It is not big but there were some works by Picasso, for example. If it is free then why not. The museum looks very nice from outside.
