This an appropriate sized monument to celebrate the efforts of pigeons and pigeon fanciers during the war. Cleaner than you'd expect for a statue to pigeons. Plenty of their descendants seem to be around the area if you'd like to see them.

this would not be surreal Belgium, if it hadn't a monument erected for the warpigeons. It stands in a lovely park but is often used as bar and toilet by local bums. too bad...
