A great place to visit, right next to the EU parliament. The artworks are stunning and the staff very friendly and knowledgable.

This museum is not on the usual Brussels list of museums, and it might take a little effort to find it. Therefore there was almost no one there when I visited it, in the middle of the high season. It was free, another major plus....More

And saw this museum listed on Trip Advisor. The pieces displayed were amazing (and huge). The subject matter is moving. Not a major time investment since the building only has one room but well worth it. Plus it's free!

Antoine Wiertz is of course noted for his monumental paintings, some of which are exhibited on the ground floor of the Wiertz museum, which also happens to be the only floor of the building open to the public. Wiertz was definitely not in the league...More

Despite quite a long walk from the centre this free museum is well worth the trip! See huge paintings and sculptures from this William Blake-esq artist! A lovely way to pass time in this fantastic city! Prepare to be amazed! 😄
