Quarter De L'Ilot Sacre is without a doubt one of the main tourist areas of Brussels and a walk through some of the restaurant lined streets will confirm this. Walking through the streets you will be accosted by many restaurant hawkers trying to lure you into their restaurant with seemingly great meal deals but don't be fooled as most of... More

Whether it's shopping or eating, there was something for everyone here. Plus it was all Christmassy at this time of year!

Most tourist areas have their restaurant streets to lure in foreigners with supposedly "authentic" menus which are normally overprized and underseasoned and all similar. There is always some banter trying to invite tourists into the restaurant, and sometimes this can even be kind of entertaining but wow, the wait staff on this street has taken it to a whole new... I read a lot of different opinions in reviews of this place. It is certainly not the best place in the world where to eat, but it's fine, I mean, there are many ethnic restaurants and a wide choice of options, I do not think that most of the people or tourists in general are food critics, at the end... This street is for tourists only. We walked through once and saw that it's full of over priced restaurants and noisy waiters trying to get you in. Crowded, so beware of your belongings.

The place is packed with many rubbish restaurants (with a very few good exceptions though! - check reviews). If you haven't chosen your place in advance, I recommend just walking across and ignore the irritating, aggressive people trying to lure you inside.

We walked through this street quite a few times, as it was a good cut through to our hotel and although we only used this street for walking through (we didn't eat or drink down here) I still wouldn't recommend it. Admittedly, we thought the street looked quite cute and inviting when we first came across it and it seemed... More

Don't eat there ... all fake cuisine and bad quality . The well-known tourist trap and shame of Brussels. In its crowded narrow streets, you'll get constantly pestered by the restaurant's waiters, food is bad except in a couple of well-know places (Aux Armes de Bruxelles, Léon, ... or dine on the Grand' Place itself ... or at Ste Caterine,...
