an old crowded bar perfect for drinking with friends. It is often lots of customer and noisy but a good atmosphere. The bar has a long history and it feels like you are sent a 100 years back in time. I will always visit this...More

Wanted my dad (82) to enjoy a ‘local’ Belgian haunt. Bustling crowds and nice ambiance made for a mice stop during our walkabout in Brussels. Chi may rouge and Westmalle triple were nice choices.

Our B&B host recommended this place, and it was in a good location for just wandering around. We ordered some pretty basic food (croque monsieur and madame, respectively) and they were fine, but the beers were excellent and the staff was very jolly and it...More

Clean room and good bed. However, conditioner was not working, so we needed to sleep with an open window on one of the noisiest streets of the Brussels. So, did not have a good sleep ... Dear, La Mort Subite, please repair your conditioners

Fantastic range of beers, table service with friendly, funny and efficient waiters. If I had to be critical then I would say that it’s cramped and that is closes too early! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Brussels centre.

The place keeps the touch of history and offers a good choice of local beers. Prices are moderate and the service is good. Probably not a place to eat but certainly is good for drinks

Really a nice brasserie, noisy and busy as it should be. This is the place the Beer Mort Subite was born. You step into to this place and you are sent back in 1902. A fantastic experience, a beautiful place.

This felt like the most authentic kind of Brussels cafe/bar experience. The interior of the place is steeped in character and history (see the pictures on the walls). Plenty of locals in here. We had drinks the first time (Peach beer is to die for...More
