The place keeps the touch of history and offers a good choice of local beers. Prices are moderate and the service is good. Probably not a place to eat but certainly is good for drinks

Really a nice brasserie, noisy and busy as it should be. This is the place the Beer Mort Subite was born. You step into to this place and you are sent back in 1902. A fantastic experience, a beautiful place.

This felt like the most authentic kind of Brussels cafe/bar experience. The interior of the place is steeped in character and history (see the pictures on the walls). Plenty of locals in here. We had drinks the first time (Peach beer is to die for...More

Only a few minutes walk from the central station is this wonderful place. Original atmosphere of a cafe, bar, offering a wide variety of beers. It is a drinking and talking place that has to be part of your Brussel itinerary.

The Mort Subite, is one of Brussels oldest bars. The Mort Subite Geuze is served at room temperature, and is something to be savoured.

Not much has changed at this 1928 bar including the signs inside. It is very crowded by fun. Mort Subite kriek is my favorite Kriek lambic style of Belgian beer, made by fermenting lambic with sour Morello cherries. Here it is served on tap. Expect...More

We love to go to this bar for its old fashioned ambience & Belgian feel. They serve light snacks ....omelettes, croques, bread, ham, cheese etc. I just wish the seating was more comfortable then we'd visit more often.
