The Place Royal is a public square at the southern end of the Mont du Arts. The square is surrounded by Neoclassical buildings and dominated by the Saint Jacques-sur-Coudenberg and the Statue of Godefroid de Bouillon at the centre of the square. Not a massive amount to see, but does make for a photogenic backdrop with either the church or statue in the background. Lots of Brussels main tourist attractions are around this area though and the square does also have a magnificent view of Palais de Justice.

I visited Place Royale in the month of May and was not aware that it is closed during that period of time so didnot get chance to enter the Place Royale orelse the palace if open for Public in the month of July-September and can enter the palace free of cost.We just walked around this area and had few pictures. It was not waste of time and was memorable.

Simply beautiful. Great for children and adults alike. It gives a great representation of the country and the way that they do business.

Surrounded by passing cars and very gray in colors, the view at the square with statue of the horse is not the picture that you need to have from Brussels.

Built in the late 18th century, this is a historic neoclassical square fronted by Church of St. James and at the centre of the square is a state of Godfrey of Bouillon, leader of the 1st crusade in the 11th century. A great photo stop.

It isn’t 🤴 residence any longer just for hosting some important events. Great park opposite nice architectural piece. Walking 🚶‍♀️ distance to many museums on Place Royal Koningsplein. If you have difficulties walk just hop on tram 🚃
