Popular with families as a rainy Sunday activity for children, especially since entrance is free. The buildings need repair, the way the collections are displayed don't do it justice. Even if they just charged a symbolic 50 cents entrance fee, they'd get some money in towards renovations. Lovely collection.

This museum certainly impressed me and I don't do museums as a rule. They must have one of the largest collections under one roof. All immaculately preserved and presented in chronological order. Centuries of artefacts from uniforms to weaponry, tanks, ships, aircraft and artillery. All for €5 per adult. Well worth a visit, especially in bad weather. Between 2-3 hours... More

Really interesting museum with lots to look at. Very impressive collection of all things military. We loved the hall with all the planes in - well worth a visit.

Only 5 Euro entry gets you access to both the military collection of weapons and uniforms, as well as the impressive display of aircraft. Don't forget to walk around both levels of the aircraft museum, and walk outside for additional tanks.

This museum has various highlights. The planes hall will appeal to almost everyone. There are many war planes from both world wars and after. Most of them have been used in the Belgian army. There are also helicopters and some civilian planes. Special are the Zeppelin carcases - I've never seen anything like that before. My personal favourites are the... More

We went there an hour before closing which proved to be a mistake. None of us is particulary interested in military, but the museum is huge and has exhibits from different areas (planes, motors, WWI and WWII). You can only pay by card (4 eur for students - totally worth the price), but as we only had cash, they let... More

This museum was the cheapest and best thing we did in Brussels! We love airplanes and the museum has a huge warehouse full of different aircrafts through the eras... the staff were lovely and provided us with lockers for our luggage too! Great day :)

Not a very well designed museum. Lacked a story. You get the feeling of being in a storage area for museum exhibits. But all in all I enjoyed it.
