The food is nice! Better than that is beer selection. It is nice place to chill with friends and have drink. Ask the bar tender for beer suggestion . They know their beer!

This is real Brussels! It is a little bit away from the main tourist action but we'll worth a visit! The staff and locals were really friendly here. Both gave excellent beer recommendations and were very helpful. They had a live jazz performance at the...More

Ande estaminet that dates from the 1300s (sadly noone around to verify the date!). What ambienece - real Brussels, with a staff that switches from Flemish to French to Engloish without a second thought. The location is magnificent and listed, the food is good, the...More

This is an atmospheric old bar, with lots of interesting bits of memorabilia on the walls. Good beers on draught including de la Senne. The Brussels surrealists purportedly drank here. They did at least once- there is a photograph to prove it.

We went here on our last day in Brussels. A tour guide recommended it. The bar itself is very nice, decorated with old photographs. When we ordered our drinks the waiter gave us good recommendations and let us taste a few options first. The food...More

The ingredients of a perfect bar; history, great beer, hearty food and great service!! The walls tell the story of art and inspiration, the kind of food your grandmother would serve (if she was Belgian) an exceptional choice of beers and the two guys running...More

This is one of my favourite bars in Brussels and a definite one for the list for visitors to Brussels. Old, quirky, lots of interesting history and great character. Slightly off the beaten track but only by a 5-10 minute walk - worth the diversion!

Well, this (very) old - authentic Brussels-café is a must to all wanting to discover the "real ambiance" of a typical beer-tasting place. Although it is quite famous and quoted in various travel-guides, you will find yourself immersed in a "local atmosphere" made of "Brusseleir"...More

Simple but very good. Typical local food. Example: Spaghetti, stoemp, Vol-au-Vent, Ballekes in tomatensaus, pottekeis en bloempanch... Drinks: several good beers, ask them for advice..
