Visiting the Grand Place with its Guildhouses and Maison du Roi is touristy but fun! Everyone seems to be having a good time, and the merchants (chocolate, lace, etc.) in the plaza's shops are largely relaxed and helpful. Although I know the Maison du Roi/Broodhuis...More

Along with the town hall, the guildhouses are the star attraction of the Grand Place. Each building has a year written on it which is apparently the date of its last renovation and the front of each building is supposedly older the rest of it....More

Full of beautiful buildings lit up and glittering. This square was stunning with each side providing different architecture to admire. Many people gather here as it is a focal point of Brussels. One of the highlights of the city and a must see.

These Guild Houses and the Town Hall are the main attractions of the Grand Place! The facades are colorful, the statues on the roofs are fantastic.Took a lot of pictures here during my 3-day visit of Brussels.

The architecture of the guildhouses is striking and after the renovation, one can clearly see how the different guilds wanted to show their power: exuberant architecture with gold details. Try to guess the different guilds from the cues adorning the houses!

These are some of the most beautiful buildings in Europe. The exteriors are well maintained and lighted at night, which adds to their eye appeal. They are located in the marvelous Grand-Place. A must see!
