Beautiful place for a quick visit

A beautiful square, although the homeless people in the centre make the square seem a rather sad place

I went there 5-6 times during my 2 days stay. Magical place. Very nice at night. During the day the free walking tour starts there.

Are you a tourist....then you must visit the Grand Place. Yes, it's loaded with tourists; but you have to visit. Hang out...have a coffee and enjoy the people and ornate facades that make up the Grand Place.

Maybe it's just because of the Jazz Weekend - but the illumination was astonishing. Either way - it's the perfect place to chill out after a busy day of sightseeing.

A grand square in brussels surrounded by beautiful ancient houses, structures and hotel de ville. Very touristic spot. Have cafes and bars near by. It hosts special events like jazz festival is going on and it has flower carpet in august. Nice place to have a walk around and click photos

Everyone visiting Brussels should make a stop by the Grand Place. Just the buildings are spectacular and worth the look.

Once we walked into the Grand Place, it was like we had gone back centuries. The extraordinary buildings were stunning and offered a true glimpse on an unchanged moment in time. Not only is it a visual feast, shops abound for food and trinkets nearby and the Manneken-Pis is just a few minutes walk. Everyone has to see that while... More

No trip to Brussels would be complete without visiting here. The architecture is magnificent. there are lots of places to dine and many little lanes lead off, decked with unique shops to mooch around. Very close to central station and in the heart of the old town.

I've had my share of main squares but the beauty of the Brussels Grand Place eclipses all I've seen in my opinion. Brussels sometimes is skipped because of a "lack of attractions" but everything is so close in this part of the world that I would recommend a visit even if just as a quick stop only to see the... Just amazing architecture. Check out the wooden gates. Amazing. It is a good meeting place because you can see the spires from many places in town and is just a couple blocks off the metro (subway). Restaurants and shops abound in this area and there is a tourist information office in the plaza. Carriage rides start from the plaza. Fun... More
