Saint Nicholas is a beautiful church located in the heart of Brussels. The interior was beautiful, though unfortunately I cannot share due to the no photos policy. Free to enter. You’ll have to go and see it for yourself!

St Nicolas church is located behind the Bourse in Brussels. Church was damaged during the French bombardment of 1695. You still can see the remains of a cannon ball that has been drilled into the church during that bombing.

Conveniently located at Rue au Beurre, Brussels and is easily reached by Metro at station Bourse Beurs. This Catholic church dates back 1,000 years old and showed some remains of the original structure. Its 11th-century Romanesque lines are hidden by a 14th-century Gothic facade and the repairs made after the French bombardment of 1695. A cannonball fired by the French in 1695 is still lodged in one of the pillars.

The church has a small painting of "The Virgin and Child " by Rubens and is open to the public for visit and veneration.

We went there on Sun 30 Dec at 10 am and was pleasntly surprised that there was an English mass said by an English speaking franciscan priest. It was the best x'mas experience for us as we were there on Friday nite to take in the sights of the Christmas market & Lights at the Grand Place and not aware of the mass times.

For a quiet place to reflect, this would be an ideal church as it is centrally located and easy to find.

Small church around the corner of grand place. Nice decor and antique vibes. Decors are must see. Pop in while you are in the area. Might not look much from the outside but once you are inside you would surely love it.

This was a spot on our walking tour and our guide told us it was a very, VERY old church around which a bigger church was built... twice. They did this to preserve the church, and when you go inside you notice the architecture is kind of wacky for that reason. It’s fascinating! We want to read up on the history more after looking inside. Entrance is free.

This church was one of our first visits and is beginning renovations. You take away the uniqueness of this church with the slightly turned alter. The different prayer alters are beautiful and they did with wood, what Rome did with marble with the pulpit. Just a piece of glorious history.

We went to Mass here on Sunday June 9, mostly just to spend time in a centuries-old church. It was Pentecost Sunday and the priest gave a beautiful, thought-provoking homily.

I was looking for a Catholic church near Grand Place. Want to say thanks for our safe travels. Inside is a quaint designed altar.

Facing la bourse, this small church has a decent interior.

Dedicated to the patron saint of merchants who used to live in this area. This church is also called Saint Nicolas de la Bourse for its proximity to the Stock Exchange building.

The church holds a small painting by Rubens of The Virgin and Child
