One of the most striking buildings on the Grand Place. We stopped to pose for photos in front of this big classic building. All lit up at night. Part of the harmonious architecture.

We came to the Grand Place several times. All the buildings are absolutely beautiful and this one is no exception. It is a museum of the city with many paintings, tapestries and numerous other artifacts. Highly recommended.

As our tour guide had led us into the magnificent Grand Place, as part of our tour of central Brussels, we were amazed by the splendid buildings situated all around this large city square.
One of the buildings which caught our attention was the Maison du Roi.
Its unique architecture with numerous arches on its façade stretched across three levels of the building give it a spectacular appearance. The central tall tower topped with a spire adds to its spectacular architecture
This building now houses the Brussels City Museum. Sadly, as we were on a tour, we did not have time to visit the museum. We will put this on our list of things to do should we visit Brussels again, at some time in the future.
This attractive, large building certainly drew lots of attention from visitors to the square whilst we were there. It was certainly a popular subject for photographs.
An amazing building which should not be overlooked by any tourist visiting Brussels’ Grand Place!

Interesting museum and worth a visit. Highlights including the original Manneken Pis and the original St Michael statue from the top of the Town Hall. Really impressive and some displays were interesting, could really spend a lot of time there.

This building is located on the Grand Place, an imposing building which houses an important museum. The facade is splendid. To be visited day or night, the lighting highlights the whole.

Compared to the other museums that talk about history and similar found in Brussels, the one on the history of the city housed in this "King's House" was the one I appreciated the most. Thanks primarily to the architecture, which is much older and more fascinating than that of the other museums - after all, it is one of the main buildings of the Grand Place, it couldn't be otherwise. Above all, however, it is the content that is the real strong point of the museum: between works of art of all kinds and well-made panels that tell you about the growth and history of the city, it was a very interesting visit. Overall, it's almost a shame that it's not among the most highly rated museums in Brussels: it certainly deserves a lot!
