This hill remember us that we won against the army of Napoleon! It is nice to visit, but the entrance is very very very expensive! For me the price is to high for what you get. You have to climb the 244 steps by yourself and the expostion is simple.

Not being a history buff, I thoroughly enjoyed the walk through history. The exhibition provides a timeline and context for this famous battle. The panorama provides a good overview of the battle and puts the battlefield into context when you are atop the Lion's Mound. A must for any history buff.

A battle that was over with in a day but defined Europe. I climbed the 244 steps to the top of the mound where the Memorial Lion sits and I found it mind blowing looking out over the battlefield. Go round the visitor centre first and watch the 3d film show, then go up the mound. After go to Hougoumont... More

Visitors who just want to go up the hill and see the statue can't do that without paying for everything else too: €20 a person. That's a shame.

Visited on 29th April and enjoyed the whole experience. The mound is 244 steps and has great views of the Battlefield. The Panorama and Visitor Centre are top notch. The only issue with the Visitor centre is it is more a Napoleon Museum rather than a Battle of Waterloo centre. Many items and exhibits inform on Napoleon's reign and other... More

We visited the Lion of Waterloo and its museum with the kids. The whole family really enjoyed the experienced! The museum is simply beautiful, very well arranged. There's a lot of multimedia, there's a 3D film experience. You get to take part in a quizz, earn medals and at the end send a video of your exploits via e-mail. The... More

So, just so you know, my review is that of a wheelchair user mostly. Anyway I'm going to start off by telling you that the access for a museum only a couple of years old is pretty poor. The Belgians love the cobbled type of paving which is dreadful for wheelchair users. To access the museum you have to go... More

Very good view of the whole battlefield from the top of the Mound, but you have to be fit to climb it - no lifts and 250 odd steep steps. Worth the climb
