The building was more interesting than the main collection. Dull unless one is very interested in fashion. Not much to see. The small temporary exhibition was the highlight.

Personally I did not care for this museum. There really isn’t much there. I could see a fashion student going here or you are super in to fashion. I personally did not find it very interesting, it is a very large building and is deceiving. I have been to other fashion museums I thought were much better. I also didn’t care for the fashion but that is my personal opinion. I thought I had taken some pictures of the fashion but it looks like I only took pictures of the building which was pretty.

The Momu - Fashion Museum is small but pleasant; our visit lasted approximately one hour. The museum presents only works by Belgian designers - famous and young. This is a permanent exhibition, but the museum occasionally hosts temporary additional exhibitions (check their website before your visit). Price 12 euros, closed Monday, open Tue-Sun 10 am-6 pm, located bit off touristic paths but walking distance from the city center.
The permanent exhibition presents only contemporary outfits; you will not find classic or historical designs here. Interesting if you are interested in an ultra-modern, unconventional take on today's fashion. For example, a hat on a head in the shape of a woman’s shoe... I don’t know if I want to wear something like that....

Thank you for your visit to MoMu! To show as much as of the collection as possible, the presentation rotates on a regular basis: next to contemporary, avant-garde fashion, we also present several historical silhouettes. We hope to welcome you again soon!

The Man Ray's exhibition was really inspiring, just the right thing see if you are into fashion!
The size of the permanent collection was a little bit disappointing though.

We visited for the Ray Man expo, which was lovely and gave good insights in his work and his influences on various fashion designers.
Als the permanent collection gives a good overview on Belgian fashion designers.
Overall a nice visit, and a must do for everybody into fashion

I had booked a few weeks before arriving and I was very excited about this museum. I do like historical fashions. I know not everything can be shown, but when you read they have 38,000 items in their collection and you only see a handful, it’s a little disappointing. I understand it was more about Belgian designers but I love seeing how fashion has changed and developed.
I thought the dolls and fashion temporary exhibition was amazing. The staff were lovely too.

The museum itself is really nice and the collection presentation was good (although a bit short), especially if you’re interested in Belgian designers. But the E/MOTION exhibition was truly AMAZING. Moving, touching, provocative, interesting designs from the 90’s, 00’s and 10’s, very logically and beautifully organized. Very interesting catchphrases and themes to discover through fashion, such as women’s bodies, drugs, pandemics and diseases and other social issues. Hats off to the curators. I’m glad we were accidentally in Antwerp while it was still on display.

A different museum for art workers and fashion lovers. If you like fashion, go there! You will take so many images, ideas and you will see so many choices for clothes via technology. A good place for modern people.

Checked on the web before driving out, place was closed without warning and without any indication of why or until when. This was during a weekend early September. Respect for the public ? Zero !
