You won't find a permanent display here, but rather a varied programme that focuses on the differente dimensions of the world of fashion.

Mode Museum is the highlight of my Antwerp visit in June 2016 as I was looking forward to learn more about the fashion development in Europe. The theme of the exhibition was Reinventing the 20th-century Silhoutee that related to Balciaga's development. There were 150+ Balenciaga unique couture and other designers couture who have influenced Balenciaga. The museum itself is small... More

The fashion museum is rather small and you have to be lucky to visit an exhibition that you like. It might be really good one time, and suck the next. Calculate 30min - 1h for the visit, although it might take you less long

Visited the expo of Rik Wauters at the MoMu. nice, interesting and compact exhibition showing the impact of some Belgian impressionists on the today's Belgian fashion design. The building has a beautiful architecture and a wonderfull bookshop. Situated close to the Groenplaats in the Nationalestraat.

Tres chic! Old building outside but very modern inside. The exhibition was eye-opening and intersting. Pairing painter and his painting with designers pieces was cool and insightful. Gave us unique and local feel. Very Antwerpen. Very belgian.

I always try to visit this museum whenever I'm in Antwerp. The exhibition is always changing - sometimes it's very interesting, creative and interactive and sometimes it's just clothes under a glass. But I like it either way!

€8 an adult, and an average experience. It would have been better described as an homage to Cristóbal Balenciaga. The narrative suggested he was the star and everyone else followed him.If you have the hots for one man, the at least be honest about it. Did Worth even get a mention? Why not mention M C Escher in respect of... More

Don't go expecting a huge museum. The small ever-changing free exhibition on the ground floor is always interesting. The main exhibitions are usually very inspiring. Love the design of the building and the super, interactive display outside the entrance. Well worth a visit.

The museum clearly takes pride in the quality of its exhibitions in terms of the story conveyed via the astute selection of garments exhibited and the use of space to maximise the visitor experience. Great building which would benefit from more space to exhibit even more contemporary fashion and maybe a permanent collection. Really helpful staff. 2 exhibitions a year... More

Those expecting MoMu (short for “Modemuseum”; Dutch for “fashion museum”) to be a grand fashion museum like the Palais Galliera in Paris will be disappointed. Like the Galliera, MoMu has no permanent collection, there are only temporary exhibitions. So what you get to see very much depends on the topic of the exhibition. The present one (till 14 August),, called... More
