As the title says, it is the remains of a medieval castle right on the river, and is a beautiful structure to walk around. A nice and place to take photographs and enjoy the ancient architecture. Very cool.

Nice castle on the river front. A very good place to take photographs and enjoy the river front. This is very close to Steenplein. We spent close to 30mins here. And took boating from there.
The last remaining part of Antwerp's old fort. Nice for a couple of photos from the outside. Nothing special to see or expect for the interior part. Visit should not last more than 10 minutes.
One of the early stone buildings, close to the river 'Schelde' and thus very nice view on the two sides of the city, close to the medieval center and all the things you should visit. Enjoy the view - and then the restaurants close by?
A pretty little castle that is close to the river, there is not a lot to see inside but from the outside you can take some pretty photos. It is also a nice area to walk round as well.
Steen Castle is really close walking distance from Grote Markt (350m), it's a prominent fortress next to the river. There isn't mush history explained but it's a nice place for a walk along the river leading to the pier Flandria.
Located on the river, Steen castle is a reminder of days past. Today it is more of a curio, with not a lot to see inside. However, it is a pleasant walk and the view is well worth the effort, being a nice photo opportunity.
This intriguing fortification has a great view along the river and in side there is a cafe and some interesting exhibits. My favourite was the 30 minute timer which is basically just an enormous egg-timer !
If you are checking out the Old Town, you might as well stop by the Castle. They are very close to each other, maybe 3-4 minute on foot. The castle is looking good from the outside. Good picture spot. There is the oldest 1/2 hour...More
