Lovely old building

This is a lovely old building which is somewhat spoilt by the surrounding bits and pieces attached. So much more could be made of this really historic landmark.

This is a nice place to walk around inside the Steen as well as around the building there is walking bridge. Nice view of the Schelde and old Antwerp. Nearby De Grote Markt and many cafe's around.

A quick visit to Steenplein can be complete by checking out the castle that is a nice viewpoint of the river as well. There's a winter market & fair that one can visit in the winter.

Very beautifully decorated at Christmas time in the evening, make sure to take a few moments to get some pictures with all the lights.

I walked by here by mistake while I was walking along the water. I figured I'd stop to check it out. The inside of the castle was not open when I was there but from the outside, it's pretty cool. Lots of people snapping pictures here and they were setting up for a Christmas market very close by. Worth a... More

Het Steen is a beautiful castle, nicely located at the Schelde river in Antwerp. The walls look old and impressive. Its north side seems to be a favourite place for romantic couples. The castle is now used for workshops for children. The main downside to this castle is that there don't seem to be any tours or other options to... More

The castle is very nice and just next to the river. Not many tourist there and it was a little quiet when I visit. but after all, it is a nice place to visit as it is not far from museum and town hall.
