It's not often that you get to see the works of an artist as well as those of his contemporaries in the same space. This museum offers its fair share of lesser known Rubens paintings as well as the paintings of his contemporaries.

We didn't make the best of our visit because we were dressed for the cold outdoors and the house was very warm (obviously to look after the paintings). Very claustrophobic but what we did see was great. Very crowded.
So interesting. Great guide leaflet with enough info for the non expert to understand and appreciate. The domestic setting is unusual for major art works. It got a bit crowded, it is understandably popular.
