Only a stone's throw from the Grote Market there's plenty to see here such as the old boats on shore, ships tied up, restaurants, ferry to go up river and a simple pleasant place for a stroll with good views of both banks.

Visited the Port on a tour of the City - great views, there is a tunnel which goes from one side the the river to the other to either go by car or walk.

Nice location near the city center (10-15' away). You can enjoy a walk with a view to the sea (river like) especially if it not raining.

As already noted, it is about 40 mins by train. Every city has its own Xmas market, so you have a grand choice.
