On a 1/2 day visit to The Hague, I had 2 places that I wanted to visit. One of them was the Peace Palace. After about a 25 minute walk from the Mauritshuis, we arrived to find we had no access to the gardens or...More

We were not able to go inside but knew that ahead of time. The Visitor's Center, however, is outstanding. Pick up a free audio device and learn the history of the peace palace dating back to 1899. The information is very interesting and we thoroughly...More

You must book for the tour a couple of weeks before. We didn't and just had the pleasure of the tourist centre and this provides great background information.

You could only visit it with a guide. The outside is more spectaculair than the inside, but it is fun to see al the art and gifts from countries to this institute. There are some great gifts among them. Gardens are beautiful as well.

Even if you are too late for (online) booking of a guided tour, you can enjoy the Peace Palace with a audio tour and a movie that explains a lot.

I wasn't lucky enough to go inside but, the outside is just as fascinating. The building itself is gorgeous. But have a look outside the gate...there are beautiful and meaningful displays all over.
