While the exhibitions might be attractive to visitors who are actively engaged in the field of photography, the exhibitions at the time of my visits sparked little interest in me. My favorite part of the museum was the book selection in the gift shop.

I come here every time the museum changes their installation. Busy at weekends but get there earlier and enjoy breakfast/brunch by the lake in the sun. Highly recommend this attraction (with a museum card)

Felt I wasted time finding the museum only to be disappointed by its exhibits. I was surprised to find that it only had two rooms of photographs, both of which contained photos all of a similar theme. I had expected to see permanent exhibits of Dutch photographs, perhaps by a range of photographers and on a variety of themes. I... More

There are 2 museums under one roof here: Fotomuseum and Gem. There were 3 exhibitions on display that day. Certainly very interesting, but also not big enough, at least for 8 euros a piece (kids go free). Not in favour of combined ticket sold in the next door Gemeentemuseum as the latter has enough for a full day's visit. The... More

I went two times and the same impression: they present very well and the choice of the photographers are great but the exhibition is very small.

Exhibition rooms very well organised and illuminated. Photograps are the majority of the exhibits, but there are also some short movies. Apart from the photo department, there are around 4 rooms with other art. Very interesting is the photo exhibition about what people eat throughout the world.

This is a cute little museum with some very interesting photography. There is also a modern arts section that is interesting

The Fotomuseum is a fair way out of the centre of the Hague, but liking photography we decided to make the trip out there. I had expected a decent sized museum of photography, perhaps with a permanent collection and then changing exhibitions. Unfortunately I found it very disappointing, as it was basically just one room with the work of one... More

I like photos and found it to be a interesting collection. You would have to like photography to find it interesting.

We just happened to see that this exhibit was at the Fotomuseum in Den Haag while we were visiting. The exhibit has now been extended until August 16, 2015. If you are a fan of any musician in the last 40 years then I bet this photographer has probably worked with them. There is a special small exhibit but it... More
