Natuurmuseum Rotterdam is a small Natural History Museum situated near Kunsthal Rotterdam.The exhibits are well presented and informative.The larger Naturalis Leiden is currently under construction so it was very busy with families wanting to visit a natural history museum.

The museum was calm, quiet and felt very relaxed.Lots of things to see, everything in both English and Dutch and not too much to read. Good interactive activities for children and not too many of them running around.
Great Value natural history museum.
I would recommend the audio tour as you will learn even more quirky things about the artefacts. the dutch sense of humour is ripe throughout the museum so be sure to take it all in!

Pretty small museum based on 2 floors. Some very interesting pieces such as the sperm whale and elephant skeletons. Really enjoyed looking at the preserved reptiles and sea creatures. There was also some strange items such as the Mcflurry hedgehog, the rat with a screw...More
