Very small area. Would recommend visiting a city like Gouda or Leiden and seeing a traditional area without the need for... More

It was fun to get there via metro from Rotterdam Centraal. It was Easter Monday, so most shops were closed. A nice stroll, nothing more.

Original part of Rotterdam which was not distroyed in WWII. This is how Rotterdam must have been. Very nice and away from the contrasting modern.

Delfshaven offers a look back at how Rotterdam use to be. It has a very old feeling to it and it's fun to just wander down the old streets. Great place to spend an afternoon.

The old part of rotterdam. Very nice buildings and nice restaurants. Worth a visit. You could combine it with a trip to the Euromast and the park which is next to the euromast

After the the bombing of the center of Rotterdam in the Second World War this is one of the few places where you can get a feeling of Rotterdam in the old days.

After seven months living here, I still think this is the cosiest and different part of the city. The historical differences, multicultural inhabitants, cheaper prices make it good for grocerie shopping or even drinking.

We really enjoyed walking through this old area, particularly around the old windmill. In the morning not much is open but in the evening there are more restaurants and bars. Nice area to stay as well.
