We were happy that the staff advised us to make use of the audio tour, which we often reject, preferring to think our own thoughts about what is viewed. The information gave a much richer background to the exhibit and offered the possibility of hearing more information about each area of interest by choice. What a fine installation of Tibetan... I've visited this museum when I was a kid, and decided to go back. The museum is located in a beautiful building and has a permanent collection and changing exhibitions. The permanent collection shows old cultures from around the world and is a must see when you are interested in history/culture. When you have the time, it is nice to... More

Not too big museum, with a static exhibition on old cultures in the far east. Changing exhibitions on two floors on specific themes. Off the beatn track. Nicely located. Nice lunchroom and very good restaurant.

The drawback is that photography is not allowed, which is very strange in this time and age given the importance (to promote the museum) of sharing photos nowadays.

We had no plans to go to this museum when we visited Rotterdam, but what a delight when we were walking in the Veerhavn area to see the building on a corner of the harbor. Goud der Goden is one of the finest exhibitions I have ever seen -- beautiful objects presented in excellent installation, plus a fine audio self-guided... More

The museum is very well located right next to the Waterbus pier and Spido boats so you can easily visit it if you are planning a trip to Kinderdijk or a Spido boat tour. "Gold of Gods" exhibition was very well presented and included some truly stunning pieces of gold from Java. The permanent exhibition was a wonderful surprise, it... More

I loved how this museum shows how culturally diverse Rotterdam is. Good temporary and permanent exhibits.

This museum is mostly filled with native art from all over the world. They also have a lot of different exhibitions, even though I must admit it's really a taste-thing. On top of the museum is a really good restaurant, can highly recommend that.
