It dominated the greater part of the area near the Rijn, It has a superb architectural design of a Dutch Renaissance with a tower elegant and tall. We just viewed it from the Stadhuisplein still i was awed by the massive dominance of the building.

This cathedral is massive and spreads out over a large city block in a horizontal direction. Looks great from the outside. Unlike other cathedrals, this one did not seem very inviting so I did not go inside.

when i first moved here i'd tell people that i think the town should charge 5 cents to drive by on breestraat each time. this way MAYbe people would actually SEE it again...instead of it being 'furniture'. art no longer seen...and it's nicely lit at...More

Interesting 17th C City House worth a walk around if you are in the area. I've seen better but this is definitely a good historical addition to any visit to Leiden.

During our walk we came acros this atractive 17th century building.The back-side is not as old since the building was partly burn down somewere in history.
