The museum is nicely laid out to give a good history of the fight for freedom and William of Orange, in a building where he was assassinated

Theo Jansen experienced the great storms which caused dykes to fail and flooded much of the Netherlands with sea water. Then he had the bright idea of harnessing the wind off the North Sea to create self propelled machines to restore the sand on the dykes. Instead of saving the dykes he created an extraordinary community of Strandbeests who wander... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the Prinsenhof Museum in a former convent. We found the history of William of Orange very interesting. To see the actual bullet holes in the room in which he was assassinated was fascinating. The room about his descendants is interesting. A room of Delftware was not as interesting to us as we are not pottery fans. For... More

I think this museum does a great job at taking a look into the very complicated history of the Netherlands, and specifically teaches about the life of William of Orange. I found it fascinating, and the paintings and displays are very nice. This is also not such a large museum - I found I hit information fatigue just near the... More

Really interesting history. Perhaps not a museum for everyone but if you are interested in finding out the history of the House of Orange this is the place. We really enjoyed our visit

I really like the museums and places in this small city Delft. This museum is one of the best ones, as it not only shows in a clear way the history of the Netherlands, but it also the place where the father of the nation was assassinated. You can still see the whole in the wall where it happen.

Modern technological effects enhance the Time machine aspects of the History. Clear information in displays. A visually stimulating Museum. We were told by Tourist Information it is a must see and we were glad we saw it.

Dutch history is little known, but the struggle for religious and political freedom that took place WAY before the Americans think they invented it will help you understand why the Netherlands is the country it is today. The Prinsenhof is partially a national shrine, with the bullet holes in one wall still commemorating where Willem I was assassinated by a... More

The museum has done a good job in catering to non-Dutch speakers with bi-linguals signs and subtitles for Dutch videos. Not all of the art is breathtaking, but they do have some very nice pieces. The building is interesting itself, including the inhouse chapel. A pity that they don't include the audiotour in the price of the tickets though.

Located behind the Oude Kerke, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this museum which provided a good understanding of Dutch history and, in particular, of the part played by William of Orange. Worth a visit.
