This is a really well put together small museum. The video at the beginning is really well done and it sets the mood of the rest of the displays. For someone who is interested in Mondriaan this is a must see.

When travelling in Holland in 2016, I noted that the country would have a large scale celebration of the 100th anniversary of de Stijl in 2017, with special exhibitions/programmes/activities. So I decided to travel to Holland again and check some of them out. The theme...More

The museum is friendly and makes the best it can without having a large collection of his work. There is a display of his early pictures - which is interesting to see how is work developed. There are two audio visual presentations - one showing...More

It was interesting to visit the museum to learn more about Mondriaan's early life. It is a well laid out museum. A pity though that there were not any more paintings or copies of paintings even from his later years.

The Mondriaanhuis could've been a nice museum, but unfortunately it lacks cohesion and design. Also it feels very 80's like, somehow.

For 10 Euro admission fee, you get to see some of Mondrian's early works which are nothing like what he become famous for later in his career.

There are many reviews on Tripadvisor praising Mondriaanhuis. I, however, found the place wanting. I wanted to know what drove his art, what drove De Stijl. I found nothing here to inform me. The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam shows how such enlightenment can be...More

If you are a Mondrian fan, then you will enjoy the house where he was born and the amount of information and exhibits stuffed into this house. There are also 2 wonderful all-singing-all-dancing electronic exhibits showing the Mondrian primary colours and straight lines. All over...More
