I visited during a tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Petra the cheese maker wearing traditional dutch clothing was informative and friendly and patient and posed for pictures which was very kind. In the cheese hall you will find many many types of cheese, be provided with a cocktail stick to go around and taste as many as you like before finally deciding on what to buy. I bought a vegetarian kind called organic truffle for my friends who were delighted.

I experienced the visit to this cheese farm as very unpleasant. I live nearby and brought a family from abroad here. You notice that the people who work here do not enjoy their work. Especially the older lady in her traditional costume behaves extremely unfriendly and grumpy. One of the guys who works there also snapped at several tourists. Seems to me as just wanting to earn money from tourists.. Not recommended...

The cheeses were of a large variety from cow, sheep, goat, etc. milk. There were samples for some unique cheeses as well. There was also a 'disneyesque' exhibit too.

The cheese farm is free to enter, indeed you have to walk through it to get to the windmills. As you enter there is brief description of cheesemaking, together with a few old pieces of equipment of display, and a short film, but the main purpose of the building is the large shop.

If you like cheese you will be in heaven as there are multiple tiny samples to try, and buy, from mild to mature and a wide range of different flavourings; I particularly enjoyed the rosemary and thyme, truffle and blue lavender flavours. There was also a selection of mustards, sauces and dips.

As you leave the building there is a pen with friendly cows and goats to pet.

Points lost because it's not really a farm, however as a cheese shop it's great.

A brief about how they made the cheese and allowing you to free taste different types of their cheese. They sell cheese, chocolate and some small kitchen gadgets.
